Thomas Earl Whaley

Mr. Thomas Earl Whaley, 79, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Randall Reed will officiate. A Graveside Service will be in Chestnutt Family Cemetery in Warsaw, North Carolina on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on January 28, 1943 in Kenansville, North Carolina, Mr. Whaley was the son of the late Thurman Lee Whaley and Alice Sanderson Whaley. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a Data Processor for Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.

Mr. Whaley is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Whaley of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Melissa Whaley of Oakwood; son and daughter-in-law, David and Dorothy Whaley of Rome, GA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
