Mr. Jerry Grindle, age 71 of Lula, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 3:30 pm at Timberridge Baptist Church with interment to follow in Timberridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Kody Rylee, Reverend Chad Dale and Reverend Alvin Burns will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm and Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 4 – 6 pm, at the funeral home.
Mr. Grindle was born November 15, 1951 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Ralph Grindle and Naomi Gallaway Grindle. He was retired from Reed Press and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Maezener Watson, Hazel Cotton and Barbara McDougal, his brothers, T. W. Grindle and Jack Grindle.
Mr. Grindle is survived by his wife, Lynn Simmons Grindle of Lula, his children, Dana Grindle Thompson of Lula, Jerry Scott Grindle of Gainesville and Tyler Grindle of Lula, his grandchildren, Alyssa Ferguson and Lexi Thompson, his great-grandchildren, Cooper Ferguson and Brooklyn Ferguson, his siblings, Albert Grindle, Lottie (Frank) Cleveland, Claude Grindle and Claudine Moore, all of Gainesville.
