Louise Prophitt Parker McClain

Mrs. Louise Prophitt Parker McClain, age 87 of Toccoa passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Home Sweet Home Assisted Living Facility in Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Ike Vernon Prophitt and Minnie Sue Lankford Prophitt, she was born April 1, 1935 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was retired from Coats and Clark with some 20 years of service.  She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Parker, by her second husband, Charles McClain and by two brothers, Ben Prophitt and John Prophitt.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Laine and Steve Hughes of Toccoa and Rosa and Tres Thompson of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Lucy and Avery Kock and John Thompson.

No visitation or service is planned.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens.
