Francis Wilson Dapaah, (75), of Oakwood, Georgia, passed away on December 30, 2022.
Francis, fondly known as Francois, was born to Ata and Akua Dapaah on August 25, 1947, in Ghana, West Africa. He was a Ghanaian Diplomat, Executive for American Honda in California and Georgia, and Executive Vice President of HR for Panelized Structures in California. He lived with a strong sense of purpose, dedication and in service to his community. He believed this noble pursuit, coupled with acts of kindness and generosity are what makes a person great. Francis leaves behind a lasting legacy through his actions and the positive influence he had on those around him.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Elisa Alicaba. His children, Emmanuel, Patrick, Christian, Wilson, Ralph, and Jonathan. His daughters-in-law, Lois, Faustina, Kathleen, Sierra, and 12 grandchildren. Francis was predeceased by his former spouse, Comfort.
Francis held many titles in his life, from Statesman to mentor, but his favorite roles were being a father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was always there for them, whether helping them prepare for a job interview or providing sound advice and counsel.
In lieu of a memorial service, per his Will and Testament, Francis requested that friends and family spend a day in service of the community in his memory.
