Katlyn “Katie Rose” Gase

Katlyn “Katie Rose” Gase, age 25, of Alto, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. 

Katie Rose was born on October 21, 1997, in Atlanta. She was a loving person who never met a stranger, and even in the end helped others out by being an eye donor to at least four others. Katie Rose enjoyed music and singing and was very much loved by her family. 

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Toby Gase; sister, Ashley Gase; and grandparents, Eugene and Celeste Hoose and Dan and Judy Gase. 

Survivors include her parents, Chad and Cynthia Hoose of Alto; brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Victoria Gase of Florida; sister, Brooke Gase of Illinois; stepmother, Jennifer Gase of Illinois; grandparents, Clifford Galloway of Alto and Rosita Galloway (Gary Allen) of Clarkesville; special uncle, Patrick Hoose of Alto; special aunts, Carol Allen of Cornelia and Stacey Pike (Wade) of Cornelia; and numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Connextion Church, 193 N Main Street, Cornelia, Georgia 30531. Stan Crump will officiate.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, Georgia 30531, to assist with final expense.
