Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Carl Emory Thomas, age 76 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, December 30, 2022. Mr. Thomas was born in Broxton, Georgia a son of the late David Allen Thomas and the late Jessie Mae Cato. Mr. Thomas was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was a self - employed entrepreneur. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas is preceded by a grandson, Chase Harper.
Survivors include his wife Jody Pugh Thomas of Jefferson. Son, Gabe Thomas (Misty) of Winder. Daughter, Staci Harper of Jefferson. Grandchildren, Laney Harper, Rylee Diehl, Hunter Harper, Zach Thomas, and Lauren Kelly. Three brothers, Donald Thomas of South Carolina, Henry Thomas of Bethlehem, and Doyle Wooten of Douglas.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Page and Richard Moon officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends 11:00 – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday before the service at Evans Funeral Home.
