Mr. Glenn Long, age 76, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. Glenn was born in Lumpkin County on April 8, 1946, to the late Leonard and Lila Mason Long.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Long and sisters Rebecca White and Regina Pixley.
Glenn had retired from the City of Gainesville as a mechanic. His favorite pastime was Wednesday breakfast with his best friends. Glenn deeply loved his family, who called him "Pop Pop." Glenn loved to tinker and bring an old lawnmower back to life. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Sandra Long; sons Michael Long (Tisha), Cleveland, and Keith Long, Myrtle Beach; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Glenn's wishes were to be cremated, and private services will be held.
