Mrs. Virginia Maxine Lee Goss, age 74 of Toccoa Street, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Newton Walker Lee and Eula Viola Miller Lee, she was born November 13, 1948 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was employed with Dairy Queen for a long number of years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and choir member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Lee, David Lee, Newton Lee, Jr., Morris Lee, Patsy Freeman, Betty Holbrooks and Juanita Woolbright.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Lane Goss; daughters and son-in-law, Misty and Mike Huber of Hunker, Pennsylvania and Tammy Luchsinger of Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Heather Goss of Toccoa, Tracy and Renee Goss of Cleveland and Greg and Jennifer Goss of Toccoa; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Libby Long of Westminster, South Carolina and Elaine Winchester of Walhalla, South Carolina.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 3 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Toccoa with The Reverend Stacey Penland and The Reverend Ty Childers officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Bobby Hanley, Jason Hanley, David Simon, Alfred Galloway, Hugh Bryant and Billy Atkinson.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend John Thomas officiating.
