James “Jimmy” Carr, age 64, of Auburn, GA, passed away on December 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.T and Louise Holman Carr and brother, Tim Carr. Mr. Carr is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (William) Myers of Pendergrass, GA; son, Jeremiah (Reba) Carr of Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, David, Haydan, Ada Lynn and Maggie; brother, Michael (Susan) Carr of Buford; sister, Jeannine (Danny) Herrington of Acworth, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Carr was born on June 7, 1958, in Orlando FL and graduated from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. He was a heating and air installer and also worked for High Gate Farm in Gainesville, GA. Mr. Carr was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Buford, GA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Belmont Baptist Church, Belmont Hwy., Gainesville, GA, officiated by Rev. Bill Compton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flanigan Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
