Obituary Date: Thursday, December 22, 2022

Robert J. Grunduski, “Bob” was born on June 23, 1938 in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania  to Jesse and Joseph Grunduski. His family moved to Michigan during his childhood, and he graduated from Southwestern High School in Detroit in 1956.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served proudly for four years.   After leaving the Navy, Bob did an apprenticeship and landed a job at General Motors.  He met and married Virginia Zajac in May 1961. He was a tool and dye maker for General Motors, working for the company for over 30 years.   Bob worked in a few different plants for General Motors, with his last job taking him to Doraville, GA.  Bob and Virginia had four children (Mark, Cheryl, Kevin and Rob) together, 12 grandchildren --Ryan, Lauren, Kelly, Natalie, Zach, Nick, Kayla, Karly, Jessie, Jacob, Braden, and Erik -- and 2 great grandchildren – Jace and Skylar.    Bob retired in 1997 and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union – UAW Local #10 – and stayed active throughout his retirement.

Bob was a devout Catholic – attending mass weekly his entire life – most recently as a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch.

Bob was avid golfer, and loved watching all sports – especially football, when the University of Michigan Wolverines play!

He was a loyal fan at all of the games he could make it to for his grandchildren, super proud of each and everyone of them.

Robert J. “Bob” Grunduski died peacefully on December 22, 2022 in Lawrenceville, GA  at the age of 84.5.

Bob is survived by his wife, Virginia Grunduski; brother Joe and wife Nancy (Fairfield Glade, TN), sister Barbara Kostoff (Lincoln Park, MI), and children: Mark Grunduski (Arlington, TX); Cheryl and husband Kevin Loewengruber (Southgate, MI); Kevin and wife Julie Grunduski (Louisville, KY) and Robert and wife Terri Grunduski (Hoschton, GA.)
