James Robert Bagley

Mr. James Robert Bagley, age 86, of Dahlonega, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Mr. Bagley was born to the late Guy C. and Margaret Paris Bagley on November 24, 1936.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Phyllis McGill. Mr. Bagley was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and gardening. He loved finding good sales at Target and antique shopping. Mr. Bagley worked for John Deere and was also a union representative with the company. He was affectionately known as "PawPaw" to the ones who loved him most.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Bagley; son Jimmy Bagley; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Hector Jara of  Duluth, Courtney and Wayne Taylor of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Steven and Heather Bagley, Amanda Jara and David Lavernoich, Candice Taylor, Carly and Mark Chestnut, Aaron Taylor; great grandchild Hope Bagley; brother Larry Bagley; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2022. at Bethel Tabernacle Baptist Church. The Rev. Shannon Wingo and the Rev. Eddie Kerr will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
