Linda Joann Robertson Hester

Mrs. Linda Joann Robertson Hester, age 81, a native of Gainesville, Georgia. She transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, December 27, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 1810 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd Gainesville, GA 30501. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Interment will be held at Calvary Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Hester was born July 15, 1941 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Leola (Duncan) Robertson. She is also preceded in death by nine siblings.

Mrs. Hester lived her entire life locally in Gainesville and resided in several communities. She attended Fair Street School where she enjoyed her extracurricular activity as a majorette.

She married Olaffia Hester and continued this holy matrimony until his death 5 years ago. During this union they were blessed with six children; Cynthia (Cliff) Bailey; Beverly (Darrell) Johnson; Olaffie (Wonda) Hester; Angela Cantrell; Marvin Hester; and Mavis Watson. She is survived by all six of her children; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren
