Pamela Lynn Dertz, 64, of Snellville, Ga, left this world to be with the lord on December 17th, 2022, due to complications from vascular disease and diabetes. Pam was born to Elsie and Raymond Staszak on April 26th, 1958, in Chicago, Il. She was the oldest of three children. Pam graduated from Eisenhower High School (Blue Island, IL) in the Spring of 1976. She became a mother to son, Christopher, in 1978. In 1985, she became mother to daughter, Brittany, and married the love of her life, Mark. She was a hard-working woman, who worked in the medical insurance and billing field for over 15 years. She was greatly loved and respected by her coworkers, friends and family.
Pam was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post # 5255 Auxiliary and when she was in better health, she loved to volunteer and help organize events for the post and its community.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Staszak, and brother, Ronald Staszak.
Survivors’ include her loving husband of 37 years, Mark Dertz of Snellville; mother, Elsie Staszak of Dunwoody; son, Chris Carver (Sara) of Alma, Ga; daughter, Brittany Oakley (Craig) of Lawrenceville, Ga; Grandson’s Ronnie, Josh, and Wes Carver and her granddaughter, Karalyn Oakley. Additional survivors include several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws from across the country.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, December 27th, 2022, from 4-6pm at Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S Lee St., Buford, Ga, 30518. The funeral service will be immediately following visitation at 6pm. Pam will then be cremated per her wishes.
