Pauline Hampton Carroll

Pauline Hampton Carroll of Gainesville passed away on December 16, 2022.

Pauline was born and raised in Monticello, Florida. She moved to Jacksonville Florida where she met the love of her life, Earl E. Carroll, Sr. Together they raised three children and established themselves in the community. Pauline was the epitome of an excellent wife and loving Mother. She was a strong Christian woman who lived out God's word each day. She was active in her church and many civic organizations who helped the mentally handicap children of Duval County. In her later years in life, you rarely saw her without a knitting needle or crochet hook in her hand. Pauline knitted hundreds of baby blankets for children in need all across the world and gave them away. Her generosity of her time, talents, quick wit and encouraging words to others will be deeply missed.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Earl E. Carroll, Sr, daughter Paula and son Earl (Buddy) Jr. She is survived by her youngest daughter Sylvia Carroll Bache (Hal).

Graveside services and burial will take place on January 21, 2023, at 11am at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
