Mrs. Mary Ruth Warren, 70, of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in The Chapel at Free Chapel, 3001 McEver Rd. Gainesville, GA, 30504. Rev. James Warren, Rev. Michael Thurmond and Rev. Dwight Rucker will officiate. Everyone attending the funeral service please meet at Free Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
Born on May 19, 1952 in Buford, GA, she was the daughter of the late Curfew and Beatrice Finch Smith, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Chapel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her brothers, Curfew Smith, Jr., Kenneth Smith; sisters, Ruby Smith, Nancy Johnson, Gwendylon Stephens, Janice Granger and Betty Scott.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her husband, Zachary Warren of Gainesville; children, Meco and Junior Tanner of Lawrenceville, Marica and Jennifer Slaughter of Marietta, Jamarco Warren of Gainesville, Javez Warren of Gainesville; uncle and aunt, Jimmy and Louise Finch of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Desiray Morris, Destiny Tanner, Icuria Tanner, Reed Slaughter, Maddox Slaughter, Ethan Slaughter; great granddaughter, Luna Marshall; brothers, Henry Smith of Long Island, NY, Jimmy Smith of Gainesville, Ronald Smith of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
Flowers will be accepted at Memorial Park Funeral Home, however, those who wish may make donations to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
