Barbara R. Walker (88) of Dacula passed away on November 22, 2022, after her battle with dementia. She was the youngest child of Lonzie and Lula Ray and was born in Lake Wales, Florida on November 17, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, multiple siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was survived by her husband of 71 years, James Walker; her 5 children: Phyllis W. Pursell (Tony), Laura W. Paul (Luther), Jimmy Walker (Polly), Ann W. Frederick (John), and Jill Walker; her 9 Grandchildren Amanda P. Fann (Scott), Jamey Walker, Seth Pursell, Nash Walker, Ethan Paul (Heather), Emily P. Keylon (Matthew), David Frederick (Jessica), Allison Frederick, and Kelsey Frederick; her 11 Great Grand Children, William Fann, Caroline Fann, Austin Walker, Nora Walker, Paydon Walker, Abbie Walker, Caleb Walker, Colin Walker, Gideon Paul, Ellie Paul, and one more due any day now (Cora Evelyn Frederick); her one great great grandchild Declan Walker; and her sister Marie Denton. She spent most of her career as a homemaker and raising her family. She didn’t meet a stranger and loved to talk and be around people. She wanted everyone to feel welcome and to never leave her house hungry. She was a hard worker and was most proud of her growing family. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with them talking, laughing, eating, and enjoying one another’s company. She touched each in her own way and will be missed by all. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ty Blackburn will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.
