Carlton Ernest Wingo

Mr. Carlton Ernest Wingo, age 80, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 in Dahlonega, Georgia.

          Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Lance Fuller will officiate.

          Mr. Wingo was born May 5, 1942 in Hall County and was the son of the late Ernest Wingo and Ella (Loggins) Wingo. He was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Wingo; brother, Clifton Wingo; and sisters, Margaret Wingo, Fay Morris and Inez Bennett.

          Mr. Wingo was retired from Al Cain Equipment and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved working with his hands, woodworking, master carpenter and heavy equipment.

          He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Wanda Wingo, Hartsville, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jonathan Harris of Cleveland, GA; daughter, Gwen Wingo, of Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Joe and Movine Wingo; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nephews, Ronnie Wingo of Gainesville, GA; and Chris Wingo of Murrayville, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Wingo and special niece, Anna Wingo;
