Blanche Turk Martin, 101, of Chestnut Mountain died Friday November 18, 2022.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late John H. Turk, Sr. and Faye Reed Turk. A homemaker, Mrs. Turk was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great great grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her. God and family was "Nana" Martins priority. Mrs. Martin was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church for 53 years.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Emory and Sandra Martin, Brad and Judy Martin, grandsons and wives, Brian and Tina Martin, Matt and Lisa Martin, Spence and Shanna Martin, Joey and Jill Martin, great grandsons, Rylee Martin (Ansleigh), Tyler Crane, Cody Martin (Kayla), Noah Martin (Macie), Mason Martin, Dawson Martin, great granddaughters, Lexie Martin and Blakely Martin, great great grandchildren, Jayce and Lane Martin, all of Chestnut Mountain, sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bobby Wilburn, sister, Betty Beck, brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Annette Turk, special cousin, Darrell Farmer. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emory Leon Martin, Sr., and a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Carpenter and Rev. Dave Wenger will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Jim Ferguson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday November 20 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
