Bobby Maurice Oliver

Mr. Bobby Maurice Oliver, age 88 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at West Hall Baptist Church. Dr. Gary Jarnagin and Dr. Mike Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Oliver was born September 25, 1934 to the late Maurice Sheppard & Ruby Meador Oliver in Bells, Texas.  A Veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of West Hall Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for 40 years and formerly taught Sunday School.  A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.  Mr. Oliver was retired from SCM Allied Egry, where he was a Printer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Wanda Oliver of Flowery Branch; daughters & sons-in-law, Cheryl & Jerry Langdon of Justin, Texas and Tracy & Tony McKinzey of Utopia, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Langdon, Lacey Supak, Zane Langdon and Dylan (D.J.) Langdon; 3 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; siblings, Larry & Linda Oliver of Sabinal, Texas, Gary & Barbara Oliver of Willis, Texas and Dolores & Johnny Connell of Sabinal, Texas; and several nieces & nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to West Hall Baptist Church, 5314 McEver Road, Oakwood, GA 30566.
