Mr. James Lucious Fleeman, age 80, of Nicholson, GA died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Fleeman was born in Royston to the late Alfred Allison and Abbie Bragg Fleeman. He was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church. Mr. Fleeman was retired from the United States Army and later served in the United States Navy. After his military career, Mr. Fleeman retired from Total Rebuild as a diesel mechanic.
Mr. Fleeman is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie” Smith Fleeman of Nicholson; children, Wesley Fleeman of Hartwell, Mitzy Craven Looney (Richard) and Darrel Craven (Darlene) both of Nicholson; brothers, Archie Fleeman of Monroe and Roger Fleeman of Royston; five grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 15 at Nicholson Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Smith, Rev. Jerry Chambers and Rev. Russ Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Nicholson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 PM on Tuesday.
