Jo Ann Rowland Goss, age 79 of the Stonepile Community, Clarkesville, Georgia took her heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 07, 2022.
Born in Hiawassee, Georgia on October 24, 1943, she was a daughter of the late William W. & Margaret Jane Sprinkles Rowland. Jo Ann was a co-owner/operator of Bruce Goss Construction where she served as the foreman for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed caring for her cattle, singing, as well as playing the piano. Most of all, Jo Ann enjoyed precious time with all of her family. She attended Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Bruce Phillip Goss, son & daughter-in-law, Terry & Jacqueline Goss; son-in-law, Keith Church; sisters, Effie Rowland & Marie Canup.
Survivors include her children, Richard Dale & Carole Shirley of Virginia Beach, VA; Anita Shirley Church of Turnerville, GA; Tammy Goss & Carl Ivester of Turnerville, GA; Tina & Ricky Ferguson of Mount Airy, GA; sister, Betty Lovell of Hollywood, GA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
A celebration of Jo Ann’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Antioch Baptist Church Family Life Center.
A private family interment will be held at Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
