Margaret N. “Margie” Whitmire

Margaret N. “Margie” Whitmire, age 83 of Gainesville entered heaven November 9, 2022 at a private nursing home in Carrollton.
Margie was born April 15, 1939 in Gonzalez, Texas to the late Anton & Alfa Kosarek Benes. She retired from Gainesville Manufacturing and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor Whitmire; son, Gary Arnold Whitmire; brothers, Junior, Raymond, Johnny, Joe & Anton Benes; sister, Marie Gallia.
Left to cherish precious memories, daughters, Elaine (Jeff) Caldwell & Joyce (Steve) Lambert; grandchildren, Jessica Caldwell, Kristen Cook, Maggie Shirey, Chancy Lambert & Chaney Lambert; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy McCoy & Elizabeth Vohl; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.
Funeral services celebrating Margie’s life will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday November 14, 2022 at the Ward’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Whitmire officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery beside her husband & son. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
