Michele Diane West

Michele Diane West, 52 of Dawsonville, GA, passed away peacefully after an extended illness, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Northside Forsyth Hospital, Cumming, GA. She was a member of the graduating class of 1989 at Forsyth County High School.  She attended Georgia College and Truett McConnell College where she received her Associates Degree. She was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church; were she served as the church pianist and also sang with the choir.  After college Michele served in the missionary field with the Celebrant Singers, in Europe, Asia, and South America.  In her free time, she loved to read, crochet, and watch butterflies and dragon flies. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Phillip West; grandparents, Charles and Dorothy West, and James and Leona Collins.

She is survived by her children, Molli and Nathan Lewis of Columbus, GA, Micah McGinnis of Danielsville, GA.; mother, Debora West of Dawsonville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Candi West of Walker, LA.; nieces, Melanie and Samuel Gibney of Baton Rouge, LA, Zoe West of Walker, LA.; great nephew, Ezra Gibney of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dawsonville Baptist Church with the Rev. Cory Gilleland officiating. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Bearden Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
