Mrs. Linda Faye Stokely Hogsed, age 71 of Toccoa passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
A daughter of the late Joseph Ralph and Dorothy Hance Stokely, she was born October 30, 1950 in Waynesville, North Carolina having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was employed with Caples Industrial Supply, Fieldale Farms and was a substitute teacher for Stephens County High School. She was a member of Toccoa First Methodist Church. She was a decorative artist and had two Christmas ornaments displayed in the White House. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lester Hogsed, who was a member of the United States Navy.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Hogsed of the hom; a son William Ralph Hogsed of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Jake Dooley and Katie Dooley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Elizabeth Stokely of Cadiz, Kentucky, Dennis and Sharon Stokely of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Fred and Kathy Stokely of Canton, North Carolina and Kelvin and Gloria Stokely of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2 P.M. at the Toccoa First United Methodist Church with the Reverend April Briant and the Reverend Brent White officiating. The family will receive friends at the Toccoa First United Methodist Church from 1 P.M until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Toccoa First United Methodist Church, 333 East Tugaloo Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in her memory.
