Bert Lee Hill, Jr., age 79 of Martin, GA passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.
Born on June 1, 1943 in Franklin County, GA, Mr. Hill was the son of the late Bert Lee Sr. and Stella Mae Evans Hill. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Hill, of the Baptist faith, operated a fish camp at Santee Cooper, enjoyed working on old cars, dirt track racing, and was helpful to anyone he could help at no charge.
Survivors included his spouse of 60 years, Mary Anita Hill; sons, Bobby (Christy) Hill, Steve (Melissa) Hill; daughter, Tracy Hill Freeman; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
