Catherine “Mimi” Padgett, age 94 of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina entered heaven Friday Morning October 28, 2022 at her daughter’s residence in Gainesville.
Mimi was born October 4, 1928 in Union, South Carolina to the late Fred & Ola Mills Hall. She retired from Lufkin Tools where she worked as a billing clerk. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean E. Padgett; son, Dean A. Padgett; and her brothers & sisters.
Mimi was the matriarch of our family. She was a true southern lady who gave the best hugs and loved spending time with her family more than anything.
Left to cherish precious memories, daughter, Patti (Robb) Maag; sons, Joe (Margaret) Padgett & Steve (Carolyn) Padgett; daughter-in-law, Gail Padgett; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a number of nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday November 4, 2022 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 10,005 Lake Wheeler Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 with Rev. Rick Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.
