Joyce Ann Cantrell

Joyce Ann Cantrell was born on July 27, 1947 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Clyde Riley and the late Mary Lou Irene Pulliam Riley. She was preceded in death her husband, Bobby Cantrell; daughter, Mary Elaine Riley; and brother, James Moss.

Joyce worked in the medical field and as a bus driver in the Gainesville City School System for several years. She enjoyed transporting kids to sporting events and spending time with them. She was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Gainesville Bethel Church of The Nazarene.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her sons, Kenneth (Sandra) Whelchel of Tampa, FL and Lamont (Juanita) Cantrell of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Brandon (Doina) Young, Antonio Whelchel, Kenneth (Libby) Whelchel, Jr., Jacquese Whelchel, Alexis Whelchel, Jessie Whelchel, Tobias King, David King, Asim Marsh, Omar Marsh, Makaylah Goines, Ashanti Williams, Ishmael Marsh, and Ishaylah Cantrell; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Tommy (Linda) Cantrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday November 5, 2022 at 1pm at Gainesville Bethel Church of The Nazarene. Viewing will be held Friday November 4, 2022 from 1pm-7pm.
