Dorothy Ann Moon, age 84, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Eugene Moon; father to her children, Arthur Eugene Moon; parents, Claude and Annie Cheek; and brother, Charles F. Cheek, Sr. Mrs. Moon is survived by daughter, Charlotte (and Mark) Stephens; son, Michael Bruce Moon of Blairsville, GA; granddaughter, Heather (and Jared) Zuercher of Bogart, GA; and grandsons, Brian (and Kaley) Stephens of Perry, GA, Paul (and Ashley) Stephens of Clayton, GA, Tyler (and Ashlyn) Moon of Jefferson, GA; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Moon was born on January 27, 1938 in Oxford, GA. She received her education at Clarke Central High School, and worked as a nurse at St Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA. Mrs. Moon was a cashier at several super markets, the last being Publix in Oakwood where she retired in 2002. No formal service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
