Dustin Lamar Whiten

Mr. Dustin Lamar Whiten, age 31 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

A son of Luther Lamar Ramey, Jr. and Shonda Whiten Farr, he was born Apr 17, 1991 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was employed with Pilgrim’s Pride in Gainesville, Georgia.  He loved his children, loved the outdoors, fishing and being with his father.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Billy Joe and Linda Whiten and Carolyn Ramey.

Survivors include his father, Luther Lamar Ramey, Jr. of Toccoa; mother, Shonda Whiten Farr of Atlanta; daughters, I’Jianah Whiten and Ivyonna Whiten both of Elberton; step-son, Shaunquarius Fruster of Elberton; mother of his children, Candice Fruster; sisters, Whitlie (Travis) Gillian of Danielsville, Hannah (David) Maye of Toccoa and Candice Whiten of Toccoa; grandfather, Luther Lamar Ramey, Sr. of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Sunday, October 23, 2022, 4 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Travis Gilliam officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his children in his memory.
