Delores Brooks Orr

Dolores Brooks Orr, age 78, of Cornelia, Georgia formerly of East Point, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

Mrs. Orr was born on January 16, 1944 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Grady and Mildred Allen Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Orr; and her son, Timothy Orr.

Dolores was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was known to her grandchildren as "GrandDee".

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Leah Orr, of Demorest; Grady and Angie Orr, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Hayden Orr, Itali Orr, Adrienne McElwaney; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Catalina; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie Brooks Barnett and Dave; cousin, Linda Brittnel.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Abbey Chapel of Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia with Mr. Everett Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends directly following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Orr's Memory to the Habersham County Animal Shelter, 4231 B Toccoa Highway Clarkesville, GA 30523.
