Brenda Lou Simonds Maddox, 72, of Commerce, GA passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Thurmon Maddox; and daughter, Brenda Denise Maddox. Mrs. Maddox is survived by her sons, Jamey Maddox and Jason Maddox, both of commerce, GA; grandchildren, Lindsey Reynolds and Jordan Maddox; great grandsons, J.J. Clark and Hunter Reynolds; sister, Ann Reynolds of Carnesville, GA; brother, John (Jackie) Simonds, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Kay Simonds, Louena Titshaw (Lamar Porter) of Sugar Hill, GA, Marjorie Sudderth of Sugar Hill, GA, and Barbara (Doug) Stephens of Gainesville, GA. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Mrs. Maddox was born December 26, 1949 in Sugar Hill, GA and received her education at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee. She was retired from Hi Hope Center in Lawrenceville and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Pratt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, and again on Wednesday, October 19 from 12 Noon until the service hour.
