Thurston (Cowboy) Turpin 69 of Homer passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2022. Services will be Wednesday at 11 AM from the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
He was the son of the late Homer and Woodie Fuller Turpin. Mr. Turpin retired from Fieldale. He was a veteran of the United States Army,
Survivors include his wife Carlene Bales Turpin of the home, 2 sons Micheal Turpin, and Matthew (Stephanie) Turpin, daughter Michelle ( Bill) Turpin and Brother L.T. Turpin, 2 sisters also survive Reba Turpin and Marie Maddox. Six grandchildren Courtney (Justin) Canup, Hunter ( Leslie) Turpin, Holden (Cheyenne) Turpin, Hannah, Nathan and Carla. 2 Great Grandchildren Nova Turpin and Waylon Turpin. 6 Step Grandchildren Morgan, Caitlin, J.W., Kayson, Walker and Kinley.
