Mr. William Arthur Stowe, Jr. age 88 of Gillsville, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Free Chapel Worship Center with entombment to follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Reverend Jentezen Franklin, Reverend Dwayne Wellborn and Reverend Craig Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 4 – 6 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Stowe was born November 5, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late William Arthur Stowe, Sr. and Gladys Jarrett Stowe. He served in the U. S. Army in the Korean War, was retired from the Poultry Industry and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center, where he served on the Board of Directors for 38 years. William was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ella Jean Young Stowe.
Mr. Stowe is survived by his children, Teresa & Dwayne Wellborn of Gainesville, William (Chip) Arthur Stowe, III of Gillsville and Tonya & Drew Rogers of Gainesville, his grandchildren, Danielle Wellborn of Gainesville, Dustin & Aly Wellborn of Gainesville, Daniel & Madison Wellborn of Gainesville, William Arthur IV & Daniella of Gillsville, Victoria & Chandler Newton of Gainesville, Abigail Rogers of Gainesville, Alexandra & Jovan Stupic of Dunwoody, Rachel Rogers of Gainesville and Jeremy & Elizabeth Rogers of Marietta, his great-grandchildren, Addy Wellborn, Anderson Wellborn, London Wellborn, William Arthur V (Liam) Stowe and Ezra Stowe and his sister, Beverly Ivie of Villa Rica, Georgia.
