Jeanette Barnett

Jeanette Barnett was born on May 15, 1941 in Athens, Georgia to the late George Barnett and Luvie Barnett. She transitioned from this life on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Star Barnett; sisters, Lucille Thurmond, Linda Faulkner, Coreen Yarborough, and Evelyn Davis; brothers, George Barnett, Lawrence Barnett, and Howard Barnett.

Jeanette graduated High School and moved to Gainesville. She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church in Statham, Georgia. Furthermore, she worked various jobs in the Gainesville area.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Vince) Gilbert; grandchildren, Erica (Terrell) Russell, Monique (Anthony) Harris, and Shamila (Ricardo) Pemberton; six great grandchildren; sisters, Luva Mae Bush and Juanita Fleming; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday October 15, 2022 at 2pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel.
