George Theodore Olson

Mr. George Theodore Olson, age 78, of Flowery Branch passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

No local services will be held.

Mr. Olson was born May 7, 1944 to the late George & Margaret Olson, Sr. in Norfolk, Virginia.  A Veteran of the United States Navy, he was a Submariner from 1968-1972 during the Vietnam Conflict.  Mr. Olson graduated with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering and retired from HB Fuller.  He was a member of the American Philatelic Society and of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Olson is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Olson; son & daughter-in-law, Mark Joseph & Rebecca Ann Mason; grandson, Michael Haefele; granddaughter & husband, Margaret & Austin Akin; great-grandchild, Riley Ann Akin; and sister, Lori Fonder.
