Ruby H. Gailey

Mrs. Ruby H. Gailey, age 80 of Commerce passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Gailey was born in Shelby, NC to the late, William B. Hawkins and Ocie Baker Hawkins Gantt.  Mrs. Gailey was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and she retired from the Banks County Tag Office.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gailey was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jerry Gailey and her step-father, Carl J. Gantt.

Mrs. Gailey is survived by her son, Tim Gailey (Cindy) of Lavonia; grandson, Garrett Gailey of South Bridge, MA; great grandchildren, Luke and Henry Pitsos; brothers, Roger Gantt of Shelby, NC and Joey Keith Gantt of Boiling Springs, NC; sisters, Wilma Toney of Boiling Springs, NC and Donna Quinn of Gaffney, SC.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15^th at 3 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Richardson officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-3 PM.
