Ricky Dwayne Harper

Mr. Ricky Dwayne Harper, 55, of Oakwood, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, October 10, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on February 24, 1967 in Jackson County, GA, he was the son of the late Freddie Baird. He was employed at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he worked in Environmental Services. He loved the GA Bulldogs and his fellow co-workers. Ricky was a person if you met him you loved him.

Mr. Harper is survived by his son, Cody Harper of Lula; sister and brother in law, Donna and Jim McWard of Athens, AL; nephew, Triston McWard of Athens, AL, Brandon McWard of Austin, TX; great nephew, Casey McWard of Austin, TX and a number of cousins, friends and co-workers.
