Joyce Aikens Knight, age 64, of Gainesville, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Mrs. Knight was born on December 9, 1957 to the late Harold and Sarah Simpson Aikens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Aikens. Mrs. Knight was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a devoted servant of Christ. Joyce was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known to her grandchildren and many others as “Grandma”.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Danny Knight, of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Mark Satterfield, of Pendergrass; Christy and Jamie Green, of Gainesville; god-daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Daniel Acton, of Gainesville; sister, Elizabeth Aikens, of Gainesville; grandchildren and spouses, Brittney Ryals and Dustin; Cassie Graham and Preston; Taylor Satterfield and Taylor; Shepard Acton; Chloe Satterfield; Asher Acton; Ezrah Acton; Braydon Green; Adirah Acton; six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Latty and Mr. John Latty officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Ward’s Funeral Home.
