Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. John Eugene White, Sr., age 94 of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, October 6, 2022. Mr. White was born in Atlanta, Georgia a son of the late Henry Hugh White and the late Carrie Ila Tolleson White and was retired from Lockheed Corporation and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. White is preceded by his wife, Dorothy Nell Martin White, a daughter Laura Rebecca White and brothers, Henry Hugh White, Jr., and William P. White.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Susan Turley of San Francisco, and Joan Carolyn Gruczkowski. Two sons, John E. White, Jr. (Martha) Nicholson, and David Andrew White (Shirley) of Commerce. Ten grandchildren, Michael White (Kristen), Newton White, David Turley (Suzi), Jonathan Turley (Margreet), Olivia Byler (Dan), Isabel Turley, Christopher Andrew White (Rebecca), Alexis Laura Drake (Brandon), Zachary Alan Gruczkowski (Adam Malm), Ariel Rebecca Thompson (Matt). Twelve great grandchildren also survive.
Private funeral services will be held.
