Tim R. Sornberger

Tim R. Sornberger, 64, of Buford, GA passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. He was the son of the late Bob and Jeanne Sornberger; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Scott Sornberger; and step-father, Gaylord Ziegler. Tim is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Sharon Farabaugh Sornberger of Buford; children, Ryan Timothy (Emily) Sornberger of Buford; and Kara M. (Derrick) Sanderson of Snellville; grandchildren, Xavier, Reed, and Elliott; brothers, Robert (Sandra) Sornberger, Kevin Sornberger, and Jason Sornberger; sister, Shawn Sornberger all of Pennsylvania. Mr. Sornberger was born July 20, 1958 in Erie, PA, was a 1976 graduate of Tech Memorial High School in Erie, and attended Gannon University in Erie. He was Vice President of Retired Affairs with Truist Bank, aka Sun Trust Bank, for thirty-three years, and was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Monica. Tim enjoyed fishing and loved playing with RC cars, which he was a collector of, and loved spending time with his family. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the Catholic Church of St. Monica, 1700 Buford Hwy, Duluth, GA 30097. 
 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Tim Sornberger.
