Amy Miles Ray

Amy Miles Ray, age 61, of Jefferson, GA, passed away on September 27, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her mother Faye Latham Miles.  Ms. Ray is survived by her children, Marianne (Jacob) Slaughter of Flowery Branch, GA, Xan Ray of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Braxton Slaughter, Millie Ann Slaughter, Jordan Slaughter; sister, Donita McDonald of Flowery Branch, GA; brothers, Ben Miles of Ware, MA, Bill (Sonya) Miles of Buford, GA; aunt, Ruby Puckett of Hoover, AL;  niece, Natalie (Kyle) Chambers; nephews, Will Puckett, Bill Miles, Ethan Miles; great-niece, AnnaLee Chambers; great-nephew, Jackson Chambers; her Alabama families; her extended family and Ya-Ya sisters.  Ms. Ray was born on September 16, 1961 in Ft. Payne, AL.  She graduated from Buford High School and Lanier Tech with an Associates Degree.  Amy was well known for working with her mother, Fay Miles, for many years in childcare and Pre-K in the Buford community.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home.  Interment will follow the service at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
