Gemelda Cantrell

Gemelda Cantrell was born October 21, 1958, in Gainesville, Ga to her loving parents James R. and Joanne Cantrell. Gemelda attended East Hall High School where she graduated with
 class of 1976. After graduating high school Gemelda enlisted into the United States Army where she served her country for 3 years.
 
Early in her life, Gemelda joined Greater Timber Ridge Baptist Church and served as an usher. Gemelda had a very outgoing spirit and loved spending time with family, and friends. 
She also had an exquisite eye for interior design and loved herself some Home Interior Decorating. She was the life of the party and known by her family and many friends as “GG”.
 
After she returned home from the military Gemelda worked at Peachtree Doors for many of years.
 
She was preceded in death by her Father James R. Cantrell, Grandparents: Tot Chandler, Elamae Wells, Dennis Jackson, and Nora Williams.
 
She leaves to cherish her memory, One Son: Corey Cantrell of Oakwood , GA., Five Grandchildren, and Four Great Grandchildren. Mother: Joanne Cantrell of Gainesville, Ga. 
One Sister: Marilyn (Robert)Gainesville, Ga. Two Brothers: Darrell J. Cantrell and Christopher (Patricia) Cantrell of Oakwood, Ga. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
 
The visitation for Ms. Cantrell will be held Friday, September 30th between the hours of 12-4:30pm at Wimberly Funeral Home, the family will receive between the hours of 6-8pm at Greater Timber Ridge Church. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 2nd at Greater Timber Ridge Church at the hour of 2pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
