Travis Lamar Dent

Mr. Travis Lamar Dent, age 20 of Gainesville passed away Monday, September 26, 2022.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Pastor Curtis Carter and Bishop Ernest Clay will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Dent was born November 22, 2001 to Mildred Smith Dent and the late Samuel Gladys in Gastonia, North Carolina.  He was a member of New Generation Harvest Church in Gastonia, North Carolina and was a Regional Director for Domino’s.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Dent of Gainesville; brothers, Jai-Liek Dent of Charleston, South Carolina and Terrance (Lajuana) Holman of Hazel Green, Alabama; sisters, Wisdom Dent, Faith Dent of Gainesville, and Samiyah Gladys; 6 nieces; and 1 nephew.  He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Gladys.
