Ruth Elizabeth Carroll Parks, age 94 of Gainesville, GA passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022.
Born on Sept. 23, 1928 in Jackson County, GA, Mrs. Parks was the daughter of the late Tom and Gladys Jackson Carroll. She was the widow of Roy Parks, a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by sons, Thomas D. Parks, Sammy P. Parks; sister, Grace Pittman; brothers, Donald Carroll, Jr Carroll, J.L. Carroll; and grandson, Chris Parks.
Survivors include sisters, Zelma Turpin, Mary Carroll; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; several nieces and a special nephew, George Pittman.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Poole and Rev. Cody Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Park with Rev. Caleb Ryles officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
