Samuel H. “Sammy” Pass, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Hessie Westbrook Pass; sisters, Helen Bagwell, Lucy Harris, Evelyn Albertson, and Louise Ballew; and brothers, Harold Pass, Franklin Pass, George Pass, and Elbert Pass. Mr. Pass is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Barbara Sudderth Pass, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lynn Pass, Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Mel Schnake, Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Lindsay and Jacob Burton and Samantha Pass; great granddaughter, Sophia Burton; sister, Gloria Pass Burton, Sugar Hill, GA; brother-in-law, Winton Sudderth, Flowery Branch, GA; sister-in-law, Linda Sudderth Midkiff, Blairsville, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Pass was born October 31, 1936 in Buford, GA. He was a 1954 graduate of Sugar Hill School and attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Pass was one of the owners of Pass and Puckett Service Station in Sugar Hill, GA. He was a long-time member of Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. A Graveside Service and interment will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA with Rev. Danny Sudderth officiating. The family will receive friends at Riverside Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 28th from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in memory of Sammy Pass.
