Mr. Robert Herbert Evans, 74, of Lula, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jess Hiatt, Rev, Shane Evans, Rev. Carl Helton and Rev, Bobby Morgan will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born July 12, 1948 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Rufus and Janie Lou Brock Evans. Mr. Evans was retired from Carmet Industries where he worked in Industrial Maintenance. Mr. Evans was a proud veteran of the United States Army and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Angel Evans; brother, Lonnie Evans; sisters, Nancy Evans, Future McCallister; step brother, Alan Cline and step sister, Joann Robinson.
Mr. Evans is survived by his son and daughter in law, Shane and Karisa Evans of Lula; daughters and son in law, Michelle and Larry Tatum of Lula, Tammi Hunter of Lula; brother and sister in law, Rufus and Sandy Evans of Gillsville; step mother, Mary Evans of Gillsville; step brothers, David Cline of TN, Phillip Cline of Savannah; step sister, Deborah Menter of Conyers 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
