Mrs. Carolyn Head Grubbs, age 82 of Toccoa passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Grover and Frances Anderson Head, she was born June 16, 1940 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was a 1958 graduate of Toccoa High School and attended the University of Georgia. She was retired from Stephens County School System and later retired from Colonial Heirloom and Toccoa Clinic. She was a member and past President of the Elks Auxiliary, a member of Toccoa Quilting Club, Stephens County Master Gardener and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Grubbs in 2022.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry “Butch” Grubbs (Donna) of Tifton, Georgia; grandsons, Michael Jerry Grubbs and Mark Ferguson; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Head of Toccoa; niece, Victoria “Tori” Head of Toccoa.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elks Aidmore Children’s Home, 2394 Morrison Road, Conyers, Georgia 30094 in memory of Mrs. Carolyn Grubbs.
A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge.
