Becky Christine Dotson

Mrs. Becky Christine Dotson, 72, of Flowery Branch passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Christ Place Church. Rev. Grady Sutton and Rev. Dave Channell will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on September 26, 1949, in Gainesville, she was retired from the Hall County Government where she worked in the Clerk of Courts office in the Deed room. Mrs. Dotson was a member of Christ Place Church.

Becky’s favorite saying was “I Am Not Stubborn, I am Determined.” She was very special: loving, caring, generous, kind, and always thinking of others. She had a deep love for her family, children, and grandchildren. She loved her church and her Lord. Becky’s favorite scripture was Romans 8:28.

Mrs. Dotson was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Dotson, and her mother Beulah Thompson.

Mrs. Dotson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christi Dotson Burger and Byron, of New Tazewell, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Josh Dotson and Donna of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Corbin Dotson, Carter Dotson, Jason Peck, Brandon Peck; special friends, Peggy Dooley of Gainesville, Joan Milligan of Flowery Branch, Aunt Evelyn Oglesby of Gainesville, the Christ Place Church Sunday School Class and a number of other loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Backpack Ministry of Christ Place Church.
