Billy Rae Barnes

Mr. Billy Ray Barnes, age 62 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 14, 1960 to the late Bradford Barnes and the late Mary Nelson Barnes. Billy will forever be remembered as a wonderful man, husband, dad, papa, and friend. He will be missed greatly by his family. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sonya Smeltzer Barnes; daughter, Brandi (Josh) Smith; siblings, Bobby (Joan) Stargel, Kathy Payne, Gary (Connie) Barnes, David (Jacquline) Barnes, Linda (David) London, Sherry (Rick) Smith, and Joey (Terri) Barnes; grandchildren, Trinity Smith, Lacey Smith and Jaxson Smith; and brother-in-laws, Joseph, Michael and Larry Smeltzer. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive. 

Its was Billy's wish to be cremated. No public services are being held at this time.
