Mr. John (Johnny) Henry Castleberry, Sr., 83, of Bismarck, AR, formerly of Gainesville, GA passed away August 29, 2022.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at North Hall Church, 4091 Mt. Vernon Rd. Gainesville, GA. 30506.
Born on July 5, 1939 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Paul Castleberry and the late Mae Castleberry. He was retired from Peachtree Windows and Doors. Johnny was a longtime employee of Gainesville Mill, working there until the mill closed.
An avid outdoors man, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, family and friends, with all his heart.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law, Betty Castleberry Richardson and John Richardson; sisters in law, Lois Castleberry and Charlotte Castleberry.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rutherford Castleberry; children, Gary and Karen Castleberry, Sharon and Bryan Lewis, John Castleberry, Jr., James and Vanessa Castleberry; grandchildren, Jonathan Moore (Tonya), Jeremiah Castleberry, Kayla Dooley (Jake), Kelly Castleberry, Caitlyn Castleberry, Madeline Castleberry; brothers and sisters, Edward Castleberry, Nell Castleberry, Frank Castleberry, William Castleberry (Caroline); 11 nieces and nephews and a number of other loving relatives and friends.
